Classroom-based Training:

First Steps Tobacco 101 Training

A one-day training focused on teaching First Steps and MSS providers how to address tobacco use and secondhand smoke with clients.  The training provides skill building in Motivational Interviewing as well as an overview of free statewide cessation resources available for pregnant women.  No trainings currently scheduled.

Foundations for Effective Tobacco Cessation Programs

A one-day training focused on teaching the brief tobacco intervention.  Free statewide cessation resources are also covered.  An emphasis is placed on preparing attendees to train other providers or staff to use the intervention with clients or patients.  No trainings currently scheduled.
